CARLY GAFFEY - Creative Director & Yoga Teacher A New Hampshire native and east-coast girl at heart, Carly has been traveling and passionately sharing yoga as a certified teacher (RYT 200) since the fall of 2013. Since she was a young girl, Carly has identified with a desire to facilitate healing in others. She believes that yoga offers a powerful portal for healing, one that fosters an ability to have a more meaningful and peaceful relationship with ourselves and with each other. Yoga first found Carly when she was spending a Summer in Costa Rica teaching English. While searching her host-family's book shelf for anything written in English to enjoy, she stumbled across a book on yoga (Beryl Bender Birch, Power Yoga). That afternoon, her fascination with yoga began as she embodied her first Sun Salutation. Carly was first enamored by the incredible physical benefits and the relief that the practice offered to her long-standing hip injuries, but soon noticed that this capacity for healing traveled off the mat and deeply affected all other aspects of her life. Carly has been curiously learning about the different aspects of yoga, having most recently spent two years in the Master of Arts in Yoga Studies program at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA. Her drive to share yoga has found her in a variety of communities, from a women’s jail in LA to an Eco-Lodge in Nicaragua. She is known for her lighthearted and mindful style of teaching that encourages personal expression, interconnection, and freedom through movement. Carly moved to Hawaii in October of 2016 to join the Om & Roam family as Creative Director.

AMY ALSTON - Sound Healer & Healing Practitioner Married with two young boys, I had been hitting the snooze button for too many years.  It took a personal crisis in my marriage to finally shake me awake.  During my self healing process, at the age of 37, I learned that I was an Empath - and have been since I could remember.  For the first time in my life everything started making sense.  In search of answers to my long list of questions, I decided to enroll at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, not to become a healer, you know, but to learn for myself and my family.  Uh huh.  My life will never be the same again; I can never go back to sleep.  Currently in my second year at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, I have found my purpose and my passion - helping people heal on all levels of their being.  Having a deep connection with nature, my passion and commitment to my healership also includes the integration of Flower Essences.  Completing the Professional Studies program with the Flower Essence Services in 2015 and the Alaska Flower Essences in 2016, am I able to offer this beautiful healing modality to my clients. Using my love of music as a healing opportunity, I hope to lead my first crystal sound bowl meditation in the near future.  I have no idea what the future holds for me, but I trust that everything will continue to unfold for me just as it's meant to.
